Sheikh Abdullah Al Salem Cultural Centre: Technically not a coffee shop, but I am including this masterpiece because mini-mosque making, Eggs Florentine & the children's center.
Bateel Coffee: Fahad took me out to watch football because my tv doesn't work at the moment. This outdoor set up is everything until you try the Caffé Dhibs: layered coffee with natural Bateel date syrup, topped w/whipped cream.
Better Books "& Cafe": Adventure Time! I'm not saying that Google Maps doesn't work in Kuwait, but I am saying that it rarely works correctly and not at all in the rare AF rainstorm that Gregg & I got caught in on our quest for the second installment in the thrilling Highsmith Ripliad series. I am so happy that a darling man introduced me to crime novels as I've been reading too many history texts over the last decade. This new treasure means I have a stand-in for Half Price Books, Rebecca! Also, by "cafe" they meant 100 Fils Electric Brew. Haleigh Colorado, you can pet Frosty the kitty for FREE if you can find the front door from Google Maps; no cheating with an internet search. It took Gregg and I three attempts. In the process we went into someone's personal residence and almost crashed an Indian wedding. When shall we go?
chococafé: Fake Date Night with Mr. Gregg because we both wanted to share about our "significant others." Kidding, I obvi don't have one; I bitched about work instead. I ordered pistachio baklava.
Culture Cafe: If you ever want to really forget you're in the desert in Kuwait, find yourself here. Can't get any more hispster than weekly local, live music and covers of "Wonderwall."
DFRNT Cafe: Yes, those are pistachio, hazelnut & walnut pancakes drizzled in honey.
Juan Valdez Café: Quick, fragrant Colombian beans.
